Indiana Faces Harsh Criticism After Notre Dame Defeat.

Indiana football team has landed in the firing line on social media after a close 27-17 loss to Notre Dame in the first round of the College Football Playoff.

Notre Dame under Marcus Freeman had the game on its terms throughout the game as the Hoosiers never found dominance at crucial junctures. The Fighting Irish was able to make crucial plays against Indiana that put them through the next round and or level.

Anyone who follows social media articles will agree that the reaction strikes hard.

And if the defeat in the field was not enough then social media went ahead and rubbed salt to the injury by posting memes and making fun of Indiana. Fans themselves or critics were not sparing in their views.

The vitriol spewed on social media is not without merit though, because many believed the success level which the Hoosiers accomplished never could be. They went 11-1 in the regular season and made it into the first College Football Playoff of 12 teams – something that wouldn’t have been imaginable only a few months ago.

Nonetheless, Indiana’s year could accurately be considered a victory. It would be unwise to underestimate an 11-2 finish – it is clear that the team has been working and improving throughout the season. While on the other hand Notre Dame now moves ahead to play with Georgia what is believed to be another intense game.
