5-Star QB Jared Curtis Narrows Choices to Georgia and Oregon
The race for elite 2026 quarterback prospect Jared Curtis is heating up. The former Georgia Bulldogs commit is once again considering Athens as a potential destination—but this time, the Oregon Ducks are firmly in the mix.
According to On3’s Steve Wiltfong, Curtis has officially narrowed his choices down to Georgia and Oregon. “Behind the scenes, it’s been a back-and-forth between these two programs since the fall,” Wiltfong reported.
Oregon Holds Edge, But Georgia Still in Play
While Oregon appears to have the upper hand in the battle for Curtis, Georgia isn’t out of the picture just yet. Wiltfong noted that Curtis has leaned toward the Ducks for some time, but as his decision nears, he’s taking a more detailed look at both programs.
“While Curtis has been favoring Oregon, now that he’s nearing a decision and putting everything on the table regarding his choice, we’re not ruling out Georgia here,” Wiltfong explained.
High-Stakes Recruitment with Massive NIL Value
Curtis is not just any recruit—he’s one of the most coveted prospects in the 2026 class. The 247Sports Composite rankings list him as the No. 1 quarterback in the country, the top player in Tennessee, and the No. 2 overall prospect nationwide. On3 also estimates his NIL valuation at a staggering $3 million, making his recruitment one of the most high-profile in the nation.
Key Visits Coming in June
Before making his final decision, Curtis will take official visits to both Georgia and Oregon in June. These visits could prove crucial in determining where the star quarterback will ultimately land.
Currently preparing for his senior season at Nashville Christian School in Tennessee, Curtis has all eyes on him as he inches closer to his commitment. Whether he chooses the established SEC powerhouse in Georgia or the rising Pac-12 (soon-to-be Big Ten) contender in Oregon, his decision will have a major impact on the college football landscape.
