Detroit Lions safety Morice Norris has positive news with regard to his health after being hospitalized due to a scary-looking on-field injury in the preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Detroit Lions safety Morice Norris has assured fans that he is “all good” after a horrifying in-game injury in the preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons that left players, coaches, and viewers highly worried.

Super Bowl XXVIII: The 24-year-old hurt himself during the fourth quarter in an unsuccessful bid to tackle the Falcons running back Nathan Carter. When Norris connected with his head, it snapped back and a few seconds later, we saw him lying still after which he started shaking on the ground.

The medical staff members reacted to the incident swiftly, but almost 20 minutes after the injured player was brought onto the field, Norris was rushed to his destination in an ambulance, Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. He was detained overnight.

Norris Discloses Health Update on Social Media

Norris, on Saturday, allayed the worry of fans on Instagram Stories.

“Amen Amen. Aw, I am cool man, you know. Love all the check-ins and love,” he said.

The news was a respite to the fans of the Lions and other players in the league, most of whom were eagerly camped on news on the incident.

Reaction of Teammates and Coaches is Relieved

After the game that was suspended late in the game with less than six minutes, coach Dan Campbell of Lions was clearly emotional as he addressed the media.

“When that sort of thing occurs it makes you realize things are in perspective. I am only praying Mo. I request all to pray so much the more heartily on his behalf,” Campbell said.

Positive news came as well through Terrion Arnold — Lions cornerback — who posted an image of a FaceTime call with Norris, smiling and doing alright.

“We forget that life is precious, thanks to God who has saved my brother,” Arnold wrote on his Instagram page.

But he echoed on X (formerly Twitter):

“We cannot treat this beautiful game like it is something normal… I am happy my brother is alive and sound.”
